Are you looking for volunteering opportunities?  Where organisations have opportunities available you will see this highlighted and linked to on their directory page.


In the directory of services you will find ‘not-for-profit’ organisations and services provided for the benefit of Rossendale citizens.  Some of these will be small, local groups supporting a particular cause.  Others will be a nearby branch of larger organisations that may have a wider presence.

RAPET Whitworth Area Funding

The Rochdale Ancient Parish Educational Trust are open to applications from people in the Whitworth area.

The Trust aims to provide financial assistance in the form of grants for clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable such persons to prepare for, or to assist their entry into a profession, trade or calling.

Alzheimers Society Dementia Support Group

The Alzheimers Society offer a monthly group for carers of people with dementia at Haslingden Library.

The group meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month between 1 and 3pm and anyone caring for someone with dementia is very welcome to attend.

Guest speakers come from other groups and organisations to talk on dementia related topics.  Future speakers confirmed so far include:
